  • Clay to cup, bowl, plate, platter

    When: October 25, November 1, 8, 15 & 22 and December 13

    Time: Saturdays 1.30pm to 3.30pm

    Where: Art Central, 24 Church St, Moruya

    Cost: $360 includes clay, tuition, glazing and firing.

    About: Ready to swap out your mass-produced mugs and plates for something truly special? Join us for a six-week ceramics course and unleash your inner potter! Learn how to pinch, coil, and slab-build your way to a collection of unique vessels. From understanding the quirks of clay to kiln firing, under glazing, and glazing, you'll be guided every step of the way to create stunning hand-crafted tableware that’s all YOU. This course is designed to suit all levels of experience.

  • Art History Lecture Series – Four Great Paintings in Eight Weeks

    When: Wednesday 15 & 29 October, 12 & 26 November 2025

    Time: 5.00pm – 6.30pm

    Where: Art Central, 24 Church Street, Moruya

    Cost: Concession/ Members: $60, Non-Members: $80, inclusive for 4 sessions

    About: This lecture series offers an in-depth look at four significant paintings, exploring their art historical, philosophical, and cultural context. Paintings by Vermeer, Gericault, Degas and Picasso will be explored. 

    We will examine the fascinating backstories of these works, the lives of the artists, and the distinctive styles they employed. The series will also delve into the historical periods in which the paintings were created, shedding light on the history, science, and philosophical ideas that influenced these artists. Additionally, we’ll explore the provenance of the paintings—their journey through various owners and institutions—from their creation to where they are today.
