Our specialised workshops build fundamental skills, in a fun and creative environment.

Our workshops are generally offered during school terms and provide a creative learning experience designed and run by skilled tutors.

  • Life Drawing

    When: Thursday 7 August 2025.

    Time: 1:30 - 3:30pm

    Where: Art Central, 24 Church St, Moruya

    Cost: Concession/Members: $50, Non-Members: $65

    Tutor: Lesley Whale

    About: Capture the form of the human body developing perception of perspective, light, shade and foreshortening. No experience necessary. A selection of materials supplied and/or bring your own.

  • The Write Stuff

    When: Sunday 21 & Sunday 28 September 2025.

    Time: 1.00pm – 3.00pm

    Where: Art Central, 24 Church Street, Moruya

    Cost: Concession/ Members: $100, Non-Members: $130 for 2 sessions.

    Tutor: Paul Cullen

    About: Do you have a story or memoir you want to write but don’t know how to start? Paul Cullen will guide you through the process of in this two-day workshop. Explore why we write as well as an examination of the art and craft involved in this important creative process. 

    Excerpts from great literature will be used to inspire and provide strategies. Perfect for beginners and seasoned writers alike, this course will inspire and guide you in putting pen to paper and preserving your stories for future generations. There will be opportunities to discuss and to share writing. Come along and expand your imagination.

  • Holiday Weaving Workshop

    When: Wednesday 1 October 2025.

    Time: 10.00am - 12.00pm

    Where: Art Central, 24 Church St, Moruya

    Cost: $20 (includes materials)

    Tutor: Ruby Berry

    About: Come play with threads and learn to weave on a cardboard loom. Suitable for all ages. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
